| It was great to get back in the saddle and kick off our second season of Arizuni nonsense. We got together at Tempe Beach Park on Saturday, October 13th and met our new members Steve, Jackie Cama, and my now-unicycling son Trevor (age 7). Veterens attending were Seven, myself, and my other son Colin. Weather was delightful and we all played unicycling ambassadors to the scores of people who stopped by, inquired about the club and where to buy unicycles, and in some cases attempted to ride. Several people stopped by who had ridden in a former life and all of those were thrilled to discover that they could still ride.
We all practiced one thing or another and made headway. Jackie gained some riding confidence, Steve conquered the idle mount and I improved the stability of my idle. Colin and Trevor demonstrated their unicycling skills to other disbelieving kids. We plan to get together again in around four weeks and hope to see the Petersen and Hammand clans again! |
